In 2003,4 English Curriculum New Criterion, originally published by RenminEducation Press, was drafted by China Ministry of Education It declared that the past teaching syllabus is abolished gradually. English teaching in middle school will make some great reform, and middle school students will no longer learn "mute and dumb English". High school English Curriculum New Criterion helps students establish language foundation on learning English language. It both pays close attention to the demand of society and meet the needs of different students. It also optimizes English learning form of students, makes full use of students' learning latent energy. It also follows students' emotion with great interest, lays stress on bringing up students' humane accomplishment, and sets up pluralistic evaluation system in order to promote effectively the students overall development.However, there are some problems in oral English class in my home county today, for example:1 "dumb-boring English" and "low communicative efficiency".2 dull and boring learning-teaching environment.--------The emergence of the above problems shows that there are some reasons. 1.There is a disadvantage in our English teaching, that is to say, the teachers only teach English as language structure and grammar and the students neither learn the knowledge of the language nor the ideas of language.2 the shortage of teachers and large classes--------------The goal of oral English teaching is to communicate, whereas the level of communication is reflected by communicative competence, a notion, proposed by Hymes(1972), which has now become a primary theoretical pattern in socio-linguistics...
