Nowadays,teaching visualization has been attracted the eyes of researchers in education. Overseas , many researchers have agreed with the role and station of teaching visualization in mathematics. And at home researchers have begun to study teaching visualization.Based on the study of visualization in civil and abroad, the present thesis delimits the definition of visualization in mathematical education, discusses the meaning and probability of visualization in education, analyses its characteristic, presents the visual tools which teachers can easily use in practice, for example, Geometer's Sketchpad, Mathematica software, MATLAB and electronic sheet Excel, The writer summarize the function of teaching visualization in mathematics from the aspects of cognitive psychology pedagogy and mathematics. Therefore teaching visualization in mathematics can arouse the interests and enthusiasm of students to learn mathematics , put the abstract mathematics knowledge and principle into practical use. At the same time, it also can focus on fostering the ability to think independently in order to improve application of the theoretical knowledge, accelerate the exertion of students' imagination and creativity.This thesis adopts the method of empirical research based on the theoretical foundations. Concerning with the certain problems of the difficulties ,the author comes up with the present research and practice of teaching visualization in mathematics based on Gagne's educational theory of knowledge network, Constructivist Learning theory and the humanism learning theory. Selecting several samples in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, Stat. and calculous etc., by careful designing, some samples have been put into practice under available conditions. Through analysis, the author believes that it has great help to alter teachers' teaching style and well arouse students' learning interests, strengthen students' learning motivation, give students favorable feeling and experience in communication, bring up good learning attitude.
