In recent years, private institutions of higher education grow rapidly in our country and have become a new force of our socialism education system. Human resource is the most important resource in any organization; for those colleges, the human resource is the faculties and the faculties are vital for the development of those colleges. A competitive compensation system is the key to attract and cultivate excellent teachers for these colleges. These talented teachers will improve teaching and administration quality of those colleges, and help these colleges reinforce their core competitiveness and then implement sustainable development. In the era of intense competition for talented people, a momentous task for human resource management of these colleges is to set up a reasonable and incentive compensation system and increase the human capital storage of private colleges.On the foundation of the modern salary management theory, the thesis analyzes the characteristic of private colleges' faculty and the status quo. The disadvantage of the forthcoming compensation system of private colleges is explained and discussed along with the influential factors of the salary of private colleges' faculty. We compares salary standard in public and private colleges, aiming directly at existing unreasonable compensation system of private colleges. In the end, we give some guidelines for establishing a feasible salary management system for those private colleges.
