Educational Science Research (ESR for short) plays an important role in educational reform and development. This study takes the ESR of high school teachers in the city of Huhhot as an object of the research. First, from both theoretical and practical dimensions, the thesis states the importance and necessity of high school teachers' carrying out ESR, introducing the purposes and the significances of the research. This very thesis has made a thorough analysis of and given a detailed description of the present condition of ESR of the high school teachers in Huhhot by means of questionnaire survey, literature concordance, as well as statistics method. In the meanwhile, the leading problems existing in the present ESR are pointed out. Under the direction of educational theories, some feasible countermeasures and suggestions are made so as to provide scientific basis and thinking for strengthening and improving the ESR of the high school teachers in Huhhot.The first part mainly focuses on objectively analyzing and describing the present condition of the ESR of the high school teachers in Huhhot, pointing out that the following leading problems existing at present: (1) The indefinite purposes of the ESR in high schools, characterized by ESR' s not being carried out in educational and teaching process to solve the practical problems. (2) The teachers have already realized the importance of ESR, but do not paymuch attention to ESR, which they devote very limited study time and effort to. In addition, the shortage of the basic educational theories and the scientific research methods as well as the lack of the environment and the conditions of ESR (such as financial support and self-management classes for experiments) is also a great obstacle for teachers to do ESR. (3) There are not enough school leaders and teachers who could set a good example and take the lead in carrying out ESR.It can come up to a conclusion through the analysis of the present ESR of the high school teachers in Huhhot. There are several causes of these problems: (1) The unbalanced development of ESR in different districts as well as some school masters' incorrect ideas about ESR makes teachers' ESR no emphasized on. (2) The teachers' lack of the training in ESR: such as the educational scientific theories, the educational scientific methods, choosing the practical researching program, the direction to the process of carrying out ESR, etc. (3) The administrative power is insufficient and low efficient, which has an influence on the performance of ESR. The imperfections of managing system of organization, the imperfect managing rules and regulations, the unitary managing ways, the backward managing means and impractical managing benefit.The purpose of the thesis is to find out and settle the problem. The second part of the thesis manages to elaborate from the theoretical and practical aspects the appropriate countermeasures and constructive suggestions with the view of solving the leading problems mentioned abovein order to enhance the sustained development of the ESR and to improve the quality of the ESR in high schools in Huhhot. (1)Enhance the researchers' qualities by increasing their awareness of ESR,by activating their longing for ESR,by various trainings, by helping them choose the appropriate and practical problem for study,by paying great attention to the process of the research, by encouraging them to uphold integration of theory and practice, doing research in teaching,, by laying stress on both inspection and guidance. (2)Improve the performance of the headmasters, who acts as the head of a school, on the one hand, should put emphasis on the ESR, have better performance of the administration of ESR, on the other hand, should play a leading role in carrying out ESR. Relative experts could also be invited to schools to help teachers in doing ESR. (3)The conventional management of ESR should be conformed to the standard, the managing system of organization of ESR should be perfected, the managing means of ESR should be modernized by resorting to ways of hard wares and soft wares,by setting up network, etc. Build the ensured,motivated and evaluated mechanism of ESR.
