Study On Counter-measures For Adaptability Of Teachers In High School New Curriculum Reform

As the high school new curriculum reform has been carrying out through the country step by step, Hubei Province started in 2009. Many problems has been revealing during the process. As a math teacher in high school, the writer himself is feeling the obstacles. Teachers play an irreplaceable role in practising the reform and they coexist with the curriculum, so only by resolving the teachers'p roblems first can the reform be carried out successfully.Do the teachers adapt to the reform? What is the adaptation degree? In order to find out answers to the two questions, the writer completed a survery among 230 frontline high schools teachers in S High School in Yichang. The result of the survey shows:there are 63% of the teachers feel inadaptability more or less.Their inadaptability can be seen in the following four aspects:1. inadaptability to the new textbook.2. inadaptability to the new educational idea.3. inadaptability to new teaching method.4. inadaptability to the conditions. Therefore, according to the national educational policies and many other related research, the paper analyzes the inadaptability of teachers in curriculum reform in S High School and its reasons by using modern educational concept. Besides, the paper proposed some counter-measures and suggestions from the angle of high school teachers, educational authority and high schools respectively, hoping it can promote teachers' adaptability and solve some similar problems in other areas.
