A strong, firm group of Class Cadres plays a critical role in the construction of a good classroom which can provide all kinds of benefits for students' socialization that needs students' active anticipation. Based on considerable case studies and observation on class cadre selection in Lin Dong College, this paper investigates college students' mentality in the participation of class cadre selection. After describing and comparing the differences of students' mentality at the pre-, while-, and post-selection stages, We come to the following conclusions: students from different grades possess different attitudes toward class cadre selection; there are gender differences in the cognition of justification of selection, candidates gender differences, and monitor for student cadres; in the meantime, there are cognitive differences between students from the city and the countryside in the opinion whether teachers should participate in the selection; in the selection, students show their indifference to some degree.This dissertation consists of seven parts.Part I Based on the review of related articles and disadvantages of the current studies, the paper elaborates the background of the issue and brings outs the meanings, hypothesis, methods and ways on the study.Part II centers on description and analysis of the mentality of college students before the selection of Class Cadres which includes two levels: One is cognition on selective forms, function of Class Cadres and voting anticipation; the other is emotional experience before the selection on enthusiasm on preparation for anticipation and consideration for anticipators.Part III refers to three levels from description and analysis of the mentality of college students on the process in the selection of Class Cadres: cognition on voting and teachers' selecting anticipation; emotional experience such as feeling of selecting process and bribing selection; behaviors such as degree of anticipation and methods to deal with the poll.Part IV describes two levels of students' mentality after selection: Cognition on related contents which include cognition on students' rights and gender difference of after selection Class Cadres and emotional experience which includes satisfaction of voting results and trust on new Class Cadres.Part V compares and analyzes grade differences of cognition, feelings and behaviors on the whole.Part VI is a systematically analysis of investigation that verifies the hypothesis and draw some conclusions.;Part VII puts forward some issues unresolved and the direction for the future follow-up researches on the bases of retrospect and prospect of the paper.
