Perceptual anticipation has been a popular research topic recently because of its effect on performance, and the number of studies related to perceptual anticipation has also been increased a lot.Fast and accurate reacting behaviors from players of free combat are based upon valid perceptual anticipation, and it is worthy of doing research work on perceptual anticipation in free combat. In design one the examination was made on the effect of information processing on perceptual anticipation in free combat.20 Subjects were selected from a sports university and a school of free combat.Four occluding conditions were introduced:head, chest, attacking leg,no information providing body parts were occluded.Four levels of time were also used.Time was a between-subject variable and occluding condition was a within-subject variable.Subjects should respond to stimulations by keyboard. The results were analyzed by GLM-Univariate.The results showed the interaction of time and spatial region was significant. In design two,the difference was examined between film occlusion approach and verbal protocols technique when used to investigate the information processing in perceptual anticipation.23 Subjects came from a sports university and school of free combat.Four occluding time levels were introduced. The data was analyzed by Logistic regression. The result hinted that chest region could provide important information for anticipation on T4 level.
