Based on the theories of Constructivism and Education Psychology, in accordance with the requirements of Junior English Curriculum and the practical needs of English teaching, the author defines the objectives, contents and principles of cultivating the students' autonomous language learning awareness and competence and constructs the self-access teaching model and the lead-in methods for the English class. The experimental study has been used in the research to prove that the objectives, contents mentioned above are reasonable and the teaching model is effective in training the students' autonomous language learning awareness and competence.
