Research On Condition And Developing Countermeasure Of Gymnastics In Shanxi Province

Gymnastics is the superiority project of our nation's "Olympic Games Brings honor Plan". But the Chinese athletics gymnastics team only obtained a golden, two copperhas at 2004 Athens Olympic Games.It did not continue magnificently as we predicted.This reminds us not only to see our superiority, but also to be aware of danger and inferiority in our national athletics gymnastics.How to bring up reserver is of the most importance. The gymnastics development in Shanxi province is much slower in recent years,and competive 'strength is relatively weak all over the country.Based on investigations,documents,extensives in investigations and data,the analysis of coaches and athletes in 1, 2and 3 lines, equipments, methods of training, competition managements etc. , this paper makes the overall analysis of the condition.The result is following:1.The Shanxi Province athletics gymnastic team, constructed in 1956, has achieved the honor many times for Shanxi Province, and trained many outstanding contestants. But recent years the Shanxi athletics gymnastics movement was not so good,and is gliding down.2.There are 169 athletes on the list in Shanxi province.Compared with Shanghai and Zhejiang,the number of athletes in Shanxi is obviously inadequate.The athletes who can have good achievements in national contests are few at present,which should be paid much attention to by Shanxi PE Department.3.There are only 29 gymnastics coaches now in Shanxi province, which is too less.Generally the coaches are mainly young or at middle age,most of them graduated from junior colleges and over half of them have elemental professional job title.So the quality and training capacity of coaches should be improved further.
