Being the most elementary personality characteristic of learners shown in study, learning style has become a hot spot in current research. Especially when innovative type of society is constructed comprehensively, strengthening the research and nurture of students'learning style has become more and more important. The study adopts Knowledge Acquirement Means Inventory (KAMI) and Learning Time Preference Inventory to investigate the associations among learning style, learning time preference ways and academic achievement of 474 middle school students in Anhui Province. The results indicated:1. Distribution of middle school students'learning style shows certain tendentiousness. The number of practical operation type students is the largest. The number of instinctive emotion type students is the second largest. The number of abstractive cognition type students is the smallest. With regard to students'learning time preference, early morning ranks the first, night takes the second place, and morning as well as afternoon ranks the last.2. Middle school students'learning style has significant gender and grade differences. Male students of abstractive cognition type are more than female students of the same type. Female students of instinctive emotion type are more than male students of the same type. Junior middle school students of instinctive emotion type are more than senior middle school students of the same type. Senior middle school students of abstractive cognition type are more than junior middle school students of the same type. In the aspects of learning time preference, there is no obvious gender and grade difference.3. Middle school students'learning style has a close connection with academic achievement. Most students who are excellent in Chinese are instinctive emotion type. Students who are excellent in mathematics are abstractive cognition type mostly. And students who are excellent in physics are mainly practical operation type.
