Reconsideration On The Present Situation Of Weakening Grammar Teaching In Junior Middle Schools And Its Solving Methods

Before the 1990's, grammar has always been one of the key points of Chinese teaching in junior middle schools in China. But in the early 1990's, affected by the thought of "weakening grammar teaching" in the world , the same opinion appears the Chinese teaching field, which has a great effect on Chinese teaching in junior middle schools.As the meaning of "weakening" is indefinite, it's hard for people to practise it in teaching procedures. Some even regard "weaken" as "cancel", which makes the present Chinese grammar teaching in a mess and leads to students' having little knowledge of Chinese grammar which directly affects students' reading and written ability. Therefore, the side effect is obvious.In order to have a clear definition of the opinion "weakening grammar teaching" and eliminate the misunderstanding towards "weakening",the present situation in the field of Chinese teaching has been reconsidered, connected to the background of the thought's arising and its original intention, which makes it clear that the Chinese grammar teaching is of great importance and inspires the author to find the right way to teach Chinese grammar and get it valued and fulfilled in junior middle schools.
