The article is based on the theory of educational psychology and the current educational policies as its guide. It is applied to investigate about the less able students of the junior high school of Miaogang Middle School, with the achievements of educational administrative science education, educational psychology. It has made a comprehensive analysis to the investigation and provided concrete ways and corresponding measures on how to convert the less able students.First of all, the article mentioned that in the course of carrying out quality-oriented education, some areas are still pursing the rate of promotion of students, but ignore the education to the less able students, even drive them away from school. It will heavily influence the quality-oriented education if we don't take measures. During the process of the investigations, the author tried to apply a serial of laws and policies of our country, including the laws of the compulsory education and the quality-oriented education, reading a lot of research achievements about the less able students from experts, inquiring, interviewing, class observing, and getting to know the learning attitude and the learning situation of the less able students.Secondly, the author provided the converting measures for the less able students and at the same time put them into use, using the investigation of junior grade two high school of the author-working middle school. 1) regard the students as main body, consolidate self-accomplishment constantly; 2) direct scientific learning ways, promote learning efficiency; 3) build harmonious relationship between the teachers and the students, develop the active creativity of the students to the full; 4) treat the less able students equally, improve the criticizing arts; 5) focus on helping sustain the less able students, let them go first; 6) teachers should change the ways for evaluating English learning; 7) create the conditions, strengthen the conviction and willpower of the less able students; 8) inspire separately, consolidate and heighten the effect of converting the less able students; 9) strengthen tracing...
