Teacher's reflection ability can be analyzed in two perspectives. One is the objective perspective, involving teacher's introspection inside and adjustment outside, the other is the content objective, involving the deep thought in teaching and research. To raise teacher's reflection ability, we will have to take correspondent measures in schools. Such a conclusion is drawn from some investigations in some certain middle schools in M district of Shanghai. The investigations show that teachers in these schools have trouble in reflection ability, more specifically; such trouble is concerned with the four ways including poor introspection inside, weak adjustment outside, simple thought in teaching and disparity in the ability of teaching and research. This kind of trouble demonstrates the scarcity in raising teacher's reflection ability in three ways, including oversight in instruction system, weakness of reflection climate, and school leaders' ignorance in reflection.The causes attributed to such trouble above lies in five aspects. First, in the school management level lacks the system of raising teachers' reflection ability, lacks the system of the supervision over reflection, and lacks the system of cooperation. Second, in the environment level lacks the shared vision, lacks the distinct teaching style, and lacks careful consideration of reflection. Third, in the school leaders level lacks consciousness of raising reflection ability. Fourth, in the appraisal level, lacks supportive evaluation. Fifth, in the facility level, lacks perfect teaching facility.Hence, school leaders have to take corresponding measures to promote the enhancement of teachers' reflection ability. First, attention should be paid to the formulation of reflection system so that routine instruction work can be carried out smoothly. Second, the environment of all participated-in reflection should be created so that more opportunities of reflection can be produced.
