With the development of our nation's market-oriented economy, market has greater and greater effect on vocational education. Vocational education is facing a severe test that it has never encountered before. Students' low marks of entrance examination, their poor general knowledge and behavior not only bring a variety of problems to the follow-up teaching and management but also affect the existence and development of vocational schools directly. Proceeding from studying the present situation of vocational high school students' development in Changzhou, the thesis is based on two questionnaires which inquire about students' study, consciousness as citizens and their values, their daily lives and pastime, as well as their personal conditions through a sample survey. The following conspicuous problems are found existing among vocational school students through analyzing. First, they feel anxious as a result of lacking clear goals and proper methods in their study. Second, they show indifference, low endurance of setbacks and depression in their emotions. Third, they have errors in their moral judgment and lack trustworthiness in their values. Forth, they have difficulties in choosing right persons to associate with. Fifth, they have simplistic concept and weak ability in employment. Sixth, they suffer awkward growing circumstances which affect their mental health. The following solutions are approached in accordance with above problems. First, change the regular mode of education with reference to the present situation of vocational school students' study. Second, enhance professional education of vocational schools with regard to distinguish features of each specialty. Third, strengthen psychological guidance according to students' psychological status. Forth, arrange varied moral education activities according to students' age. Fifth, optimize students' growing circumstances with respect to their growing conditions.
