A Study On Cultural Capital In Civil Development

Under the background of knowledge society, cultural capital becomes more and more important. Cultural capital has these characters: refers to many things, has the character of perpetuity, not only bring return in economic filed, but also in social field. There has no person done the study of cultural capital in the civil field till now. Depending on the analytical means of frame- function and literature search, this paper start the groping study of the cultural capital in civil development, attempt to analyze the connotation of civil cultural capital and the function of the cultural capital in civil development. At last, take Harbin as a case, study the use of cultural capital in idiographic civil field. This paper not only has academic meaning, but also has practical meaning.We must admit that there are many cultural capitals exist in civil field and they have positive, perennial, important function. This paper consists of following contents: First part is introduction of theories and concepts which have relationship with cultural capital and analyze the reciprocity among them. In this part, the author seeing about macroscopically concepts such as field, culture and so on; after reviewing and appraising the theories have already existed, I bring forward a concept of cultural capital; I also analyze economic capital, social capital and manpower capital. Second part is cultural capital in civil field. Such as through what forms cultural capital can show itself and how these forms influence each other; what are the characters of cultural capital in the civil field; how to establish index system. Third part is the discussion of the function of cultural capital in civil development; bring forward some unresolved problems to discuss. At last, for understanding deeply, there will be a case study, the case is Harbin.There are many forms of cultural capital in the civil field and this kind of capital will be the drive of civil development for ever. Different city has different kind of cultural capital.
