Research On The Family Ethic In The Period Of Chinese Social Transition

Family in society is the smallest and most basic"cell"which is realized by one of the social realization forms---marriage. The"cell"directly influences the social organism. At present, China is in the period of social transition when family is got an unprecedented strike and has new problems. Facing these problems, the traditional ethic contents of family is not enough to be used to complete and harmonize the family relation, maintain social stabilization, energize family. However, people nowadays have not yet constructed a more scientific and suitable system of family ethic for market economy. It is called to construct a new ethic system. In this social background, this thesis discusses and explores the family ethic in China's contemporary transition.Part one summarizes the basic situations and developing stages of human being's family. Starting from explaining the contrast and comparison between marriage and family, it discusses the features of family ethic and the three developing stages of family. It focuses on the domain of the family in China's contemporary transition and sums up the new situations and problems in family at that time.Part two discusses the immoral phenomenon in family at that time. It analyzes the reasons to cause the phenomenon from the aspects of the ethics, economics, education, legal system as well as social life styles.Part three claims that the goal of constructing family ethic is to realize the family harmony. The three harmonies in family are the harmonious interpersonal relationship in a family, the harmonious bodies and minds of the family members and the harmonious individual's behaviors and social behaviors. The modern family emphasizes on the harmony between husband and wife.Part four points out four approaches to constructing family ethic, including constructing the family ethics at the time of social transition, inheriting the rationale contents of traditional family ethic culture based on the guidance of the theories, and making use of foreign extractive of family ethic for reference as well as improving people's all-around qualities and guarantee function of laws.
