This study discusses the development and change of the content ,function, object and way of the elementary and middle school students' self-disclosure, uncovers the elementary and middle school students' status of psychological development and self-growth, provides the advisory opinion for formed the education of home and school adapting the students' growth characteristic.The study involves 518 students from grade third, fourth, fifth, sixth, eighth, tenth and twelfth in shanghai for testing the elementary and middle school students' characteristic of self-disclosure through self-making self-disclosure questionnaire. The study shows:1. The elementary and middle school students 'depth self-disclosure shows the obvious rule in different category.2. Depth self-disclosure shows remarkable difference between frequent and preference content of self-disclosure.3. Breadth self-disclosure gradually rises in 3-6 grades, but is stable after grade sixth.4. The elementary and middle school students think the most important function of self-disclosure is "relaxing".5. The elementary and middle school students extremely prefer discoursing to the parents and good friend.6. The disclosure to preference teacher drops with grade growing; grade eighth is the highest grade in no disclosure.7. Face-to-face is the most commonly used way of students' self-disclosure, the second is QQ.8. The understanding to the role of way of self-disclosure has obvious different grade characteristic.
