The study motive of the teachers by higher normal university correspondence is an important factor affecting their study. To look into and research this is an effective verification to the former study motive theories on the level of theory, and this contributes to rich the researches of adult study motive theories; this also contributes to heighten the level of teaching and managing in higher normal university correspondence education in practice, which double wins. The purpose of this paper lies in, through using questionnaire surveying study motive's conditions of teachers by higher normal university correspondence of Shandong and summarizing its characteristics and existing problems, trying to propose the strategies of stimulating and training their study motive.The introduction part clarifies the purpose, practice value, theoretical significance of this research, and summarizes the researches of adult study motive in and abroad. This includes the researches of theory and investigation.The first part systematically expounds the definition of higher normal university correspondence and study motive, on the basis of this, it clarifies the research object—the study motive of the teachers by higher normal university correspondence.The second part recounts the surveying plan and application, and it's mainly about research object, research tools, applying procedure, data disposal and etc..The third part emphasizes the statistics and analysis of the data, and it mainly carries out the overall analysis, the correlation analysis, One-Way ANOVA and the Linear analysis, and it systematically clarifies the relationship between the study motive types and the social population statistics.The forth part summaries some notable characteristics of study motive such as varieties, interlace and inquiring, meanwhile it also finds some existing problems such as the stronger utility, the blurred study motive and the weak service consciousness.The fifth part expounds some specific, operating and feasible suggestions to stimulate and train the study motive of the teachers by higher normal university correspondence, and it expounds some specific requirements which mainly aims for the education departments, the teachers of correspondence, the curriculum layout and the students by correspondence.
