Human health is a common issue in the 21st century all over the world. HQ (Health Quotient), the latest healthy notion, is initially defined and applied by famous Canadian Chinese medical doctor, Xie Huazhen. HQ, the notion of both metal health and physical health, focuses on the process of getting the best state of health by self health care. It aims at helping people to dominate their own health on the basis of the latest knowledge of self care and awareness of health life style. After class physical training is an very important segment in PE of higher education, a key tache in lifelong physical education and a vital access to reach the goal of PE in university. Female college students, part of the college students, take responsibility to construct our social culture and are strength of our society. Furthermore, their health is an important genetic factor for the future generation; the better health will not only benefit themselves but the future population and our whole country.This investigation makes a survey about 640 female college students from 16 universities with the analysis of the result by SPSS11.0 as following:1. 84% students think that it is necessary to take after class physical training but only 51% can stick to it. The motivations to take after class physical training is multiple, the first four are: health improvement, psychological adjustment, entertainment and body shape.2. Only 16.8% of all students, a relatively low rate, reach the standard of sports population.3. The choice for after class physical training is various but sports of more convenient, more practical less competitive less intensive and with beautiful poses are more popular. The places to participate physical training are usually free.4. Partners are often necessary and after sports most of them can reach required intensity.5. There are many reasons for not taking exercise, mostly, laziness, lack of time and interest, study pressure and incapability of self training.6. To female college students, grade and family location are major influences to times, time and sites of taking after class physical training.7. The HQ scores of most female students are only above average, few of them are under average. .8. To female collage students, there are obvious specialty differences on health knowledge. On general HQ index, life skills and health knowledge, family location shows a prominent difference; and this difference also lies in psychological state.9. Female students from east and from west are also different on life style, psychological state and life skills. On health knowledge, the extremely visible difference between students from east area and middle area, from east area and west area, also exists.10. On both general HQ indexes and respective HQ index, noticeable difference which also appears between sports populations and non-sports populations illustrated between female collage students who take after class physical training and who not. On general HQ indexes, mental condition and self health care, especially on life skills, apparent difference is shown between group participator and signal participator. On mental condition, there is obvious difference between those who take greater amount of exercise and who take smaller amount of exercise.
