On The Relationship Between The Group Cohesion And Basketball Teams' Achievement In The Colleges Of South Of Sichuan

Group cohension is very important for the basketball players and basketball teams' result.The results inclde two sides: individual and group and there are many inflencing group cohension factors.Basketball sport is a teamwork and strong competitive sport and it takes concerted action. Its result is closely involved with the team's cohension. Sport psychologists' reaserch show that there are close relationship between the sports result and its group cohension. But there are no identical view on the interinflence relationship between their cause and effect. College basketball teams are special groups but there are a few reaserch on it and there are not enough being paid attention to, especially for the non-key colleges.This paper is based on the survey of group cohension of the college basketball teams in the south of Sichuan, it aims at studying the relationship betwwen the teams' group cohension and their achievements, it probes into how to strengthen and improve group cohension. This paper is carried out through consulting data document, comments of some experts, questionaires, statistics and so on. The survey shows that the team's group cohension is closely involved with its success, the players' satisfaction and responsibility, the relationship between the team leaders, coaches and the players, and the importance the school leaders attaches to. And it shows that the college teams' group cohension in the south of Sichuan has a direct bearing on the sports achievements and the teams' performance will result in the improvement of the group cohension. Meanwhile, this paper also probes into how to groom and improve the group cohension of the college basketball teams.
