Profound Dunhuang culture is not only to show the world of buddhist, but also have a lot of sports records. Although these rules and the scale in sports have a big gap between modern sports, from the information of Dunhuang's documental history, at least 20 kinds of sports have become Chinese's regular activity project before Song and Yuan Dynasty. These sports are archery, wrestling, sumo wrestling, gymnastics, aerobics, weightlifting, swimming, diving, boating, equestrian, martial arts, climbing mountain and slippery sand, jumping, throwing, chess, polo, swing, techniques, qigong, etc, So many of the items have a direct relationship with modern sports. To Inherit and carriy forward the essence of national sports culture is our urgent responsibility and duty, students should inherit and carry forward the traditional culture as a vital force. It is necessary to contribute their strength to construct the national sports culture system on the basis of finding local sports culture.My article belongs to the basic theoretical research, according to the current status of sport culture on campus, I can draw the following conclusions:①At the field of regional sports culture on campus, there still is a blank page.②There is a growing tendency to set up the world sports culture on the way to regionalization and nationalization but also to construct sports culture on campus is a useful attempt to inherit and carry forward the traditional sports, so it is of great significance for the State Physical Culture to construct sports culture on campus.③Sport culture in Dunhuang roots in local traditional sports culture and people's daily life, and is a true portrayal of physical exercise for ancient people in Jiuquan region, and is the combination of Chinese and foreign physical culture, we can still find them in the localsports.④Many sport items in Dunhuang can be made to re-released luster on the base ofarranging, such as martial arts, slippery sand, qigong, dance.⑤It is the key factor in constructing the teaching mode of Jiuquan characteristics to let sport culture in Dunhuang be close to students. I made many beneficial attempts in the factual teaching, and received good effects.
