Physical Model is the most common and important scientific research methods in physics. One of the Physicists and researchers'working methods is to establish model and apply model. In the course of application model, they improve the model step by step. Physics teaching in High School in foreign countries pay more attention to Model Teaching, and our educators begin to carry on Model Teaching and make some achievements. But current research is mostly limited to the application Model when solving problems. Practical proof of Model Teaching is not deep enough, so this paper focuses mainly on it.First, expound the relationship between Model Teaching and science education and the meaning of developing the students'ability to establish model; Second, introduce the beginning, types and function of Physical Model. Finally, practical research on developing the students'ability to establish models in High School. Investigate the students'grasp of Physical Model and carry on the research to overcome weak points and go on teaching practice. Make research on the students'ability to establish model from three aspects: establish model, recognize model and apply model. There are some exercises in the paper. It has proved that if we train the students'to establish model and improve their ability in teaching, we can let them experience"concept formation and law discovery"; let them learn how to conclude and describe the concept and law; let them grasp many basic ways to solve the physics problems; develop the students'ability to analyze and solve practical problems; stimulate the students'curiosity and thirst for knowledge; develop their ability to bring forth new ideas.
