We research the national identity of 226 city high school students in Jiangxi through paper research and structuralist interview. Three aspects are involved:1. The essential impression of Chinese and the main imformat ion resources, that is, station identity and culture identity. It indicates that there is no obstacle in the national identity of hte high school students. They can correctly and clearly tell apart the national identity and racial character. Also they can learn essentially the two characters about the national custom in the basic national identity research: high culture identity but low political and economic identity, high traditional national identity but low contemporary national character identity.2. The research about the internal level of high school students' national identity. Their whole impression of the native is positive. Because of the influence of multiplex value, utilitarian thought and the golbal impact, there is a big problem in the high school students' national identity, it represents as the abruption of national identity: admit America in substance, admit China in tradition and culture.3. the research about contemporary adolescant's view on the other countries, whether they have formed an open and inosculate admission. It indicates that the city high school students in Jiangxi possess a definite world view. There is till some narrow national identity among parts high school students.Otherwise, books and television are still the main carrier of national identity study.
