The Investigation And Research On The Present Situation Of Women's Body-Building In Wuhan

As a sub-task of AN INVESTIGATION ON THE STATUS QUO OF SPORTS POPULATION IN URBAN AND SUBURBAN OF WUHAN, AND A RESEARCH ON THE COUNTERMEASURES TO GUARANTEE THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT, base on the questionnaire, with research method of documentary, interviewing and mathematical statistics, this dissertation carries an extensive learn on the status of women's taking part in sports body-building activity in Wuhan. According to the need of research and the relationship with sports body-building activity, I divide women into three groups: sports population, sub-sports population and non- sports population.The investigation says, in Wuhan, the percent of woman sports population is not only higher greatly than man, but also higher greatly than the similar indicator of nationwide or other provinces and cities. It has close relationship with women's personality of pride, diligence and independence in Wuhan.In Wuhan, the characteristics of exercise for women sports population are easy-doing, popular and unorganized, which reveals the traits of well-to-do life. In social configuration, it manifest: for woman who is older, having higher school degree and doing more brainwork, they are more likely to take part in sports body-building activity. The main causes to take part in sports body-building activity for women in Wuhan are improving family feeling, promoting the quality of life, enhancing the ability of sports, body-beautifying, keeping fit, boosting corporeity and so on; the objective causes are publicizing and improving relationship with others. The author put forward the concept of sub-sports population the first time, had made an extensive investigation and study on the status of woman sub-sports population.The investigation and research on the woman non-sports population in Wuhan is of much important meaning in practice and theory. The research indicates the main factors restricting women taking part in sports body-building activity are there is no enough spare time, sports field or equipments, having no strong concept of body-building, having too much burden, lacking enough economic supports and so on. At the same time, this dissertation had analyzed the intent and conditions of resuming sports body-building activity for woman non-sports population.
