With the coming of the Knowledge Economy, knowledge has become one of the most competitive strategic resources. The knowledge management– one new management model for operation and innovation of knowledge - has emerged as the times require and been applied gradually in corporations. The higher vocational college, featuring the technical education and focusing on development of persons with advanced craftsmanship, much more need knowledge management to realize accumulation, demisability, communication and innovation of various knowledge especially recessive knowledge.In this dissertation, the inevitability that the higher vocational college adopts knowledge management was analysed following discussing basic concepts, contents and characteristics of knowledge management in corporation. Knowledge management of the higher vocational education was defined and its characteristics, hypostasis and significance in the higher vocational college were discussed. In addition, the basic processes and general ways of knowledge management that the higher vocational colleges implement i.e. establishment of learning organizations, knowledge unions and teacher community was put forward, which is useful for how to manage higher vocational education. In Chapter 4, evaluation systems on knowledge management in higher vocational colleges which referred to that in corporations was innovated under the current evaluation systems in colleges. The effectiveness of knowledge management in higher vocational colleges was evaluated by the established mathematical model using hiberarchal analysis and blurring-integrated evaluation method.The innovations of this dissertation consist in the introduction of knowledge management into management systems of higher vocational colleges, and dissertations on related theories, approaches and evaluation systems of knowledge management in higher vocational colleges.
