Business schools in university (BSU) have developed for more than ten years in our country and brought up a great deal of high-class managers for the society. However, with the advancement of the society and economy, the competitions between the BSU and other kinds of business schools (BS) became more and more furious so that the inherent mechanism of the BSU seemed to be more and more inadaptable to the development of the society and economy, especially in the creation mechanism of the deans. The deans of the BSU in our country almost came from the same background, which restrained the innovation of the BSU to a large extent. In this kind of case, the professionalizing of deans was put forward. This thesis aimed to bring the new energy and motivation to the BSU by means of the professionalizing of deans so that the BSU could be more adaptable to the market and make a more progress in the future.The thesis was divided six parts. In the first part the thesis reviewed the history of the BS in America, Europe and Asia and introduced the concept of the BSU. Then the thesis pointed out that in the more and more competitive environment, with the promotion of the reform of higher education system, the BSU should adapt themselves to the development of the society and economy through the reform of personnel system, namely the professionalizing of deans. In the second part some key concepts were explained, such as profession, professionalizing, professional deans etc and then the professional dean and professional executive were compared further. In the third part the thesis studied the necessity and feasibility of the professionalizing after analyzing changes of the internal and external environment. In the forth and fifth parts the chain model of the professionalizing was founded in which there are two parts of organizational strategy and individual strategy. In the organizational strategy part the thesis described the strategic goal of the BSU, the responsibility and ability of deans, which compromises the organizational strategy. In the individual strategy part, the thesis discussed how to recruit and select professional deans.
