The main idea of this paper is: based on the poor ability in deaf students' Chinese reading comprehension and ineffectiveness of Chinese reading instruction, We intend to improve deaf students' reading ability by the training of organization strategy. As one form of text's organization, the signals are coincident with the thought of organization strategy in singling out main items from texts. So, we can test the effectiveness of organization strategy through affirming theeffectiveness of signals' effects. In practice, We choose 6—9 gradestudents from deaf school and designed sentence, paragraph, article, three signals' reading experiments .finally, We proved the effectiveness oforganization and provided evidences for 6—9 gradestudents' orgnization strategy training in deaf school. The paper was composed of three parts: the first one, The effects of signals on understanding the meaning of whole sentence to deaf students, which adopt 2×3 mixed design, researching into the relationship between signals' effects and the length of sentence. the second one, The effects of signals on understanding the meaning of whole paragraph to deaf students, which adopt mixed 2X3 design, researching into the relationship between signals' effects and the type of paragraph. the third one, The effects of signals on understanding the meaning of whole article to deaf students, which contains one mixed 2X3 design and one mixed 3X3 design, researching into the relationship between signals' effects and the type of information and the kind of articles. The main conclusions are as following: first of all, the signals' effects exist in the reading process of deaf students. That to say, no matter the sentence is long, medial or short, the paragraph is narrative one or commenting one, the article's structure is liner, two dimension or the net one, it can improve deaf students' texts reading level to provide the signals in the text materials. The second, the signals' effects are affected by material factors. To sentence, the medial sentences reading scores ranked ahead and the biggest improved extent comes in long sentences when providing signals. In articles reading, the effects of full-signals and semi-signals are better than no signals to liner and two-dimension materials. Full-signals are better than non-signals, however semi-signals are not better than no signals in the material in which the structure is net. The third, the signals' effects are confined to the comprehension of macro-information in article; it's useless when applied to micro-information. The forth, the semi-signals and full-signals are no difference when appeared in the paragraph and articles. the fifth, orgnizing stratigy training is effective to improve deaf students' reading comprehension score. The study provides the following suggestion to deaf school teacher, :to mark the main item of materials, to give more illustration to the key words of texts, to supervise students to single out the key items and to complete organization charts in the process of reading,The creative points and vivid feature of this paper are as following: firstly, the experiment design is creative. Which provides sentence-paragraph-article, the one series study and give a proof to the existence of signals' effects when deaf students' reading. The second, the type of signals is creative. Which provides three different methods to sentence, paragraph and article.
