Research On Improving And Promoting The Higher Education For Foreign Students Of Shanghai

Education for foreign students is a very important part of higher education. China government always attaches importance to receiving and educating foreign students and regards it as one of the most important task of international communication. Since 1949, China has worked up a systematic management pattern which has Chinese special features. And our higher education for foreign students has developed large quantity of science and technology, education, diplomacy and management professional especially for many developing countries. It makes aggressive contribution to developing and making stronger relationship of politics, diplomacy and economics trade and it also contributes to the international culture, education and personnel communication.According to programming in developing of Shanghai City, Shanghai will be set up a modern international metropolis. And Shanghai will be one of the international economy, finance, trade, and shipping centers of the world. And also that a first class city needs a first class education is the strategic slogan of Shanghai city. So it is necessary to develop the higher education for foreign students. And many metropolis of world has already had their abroad higher education which matches with the cities.The introduction of this thesis expatiate the background, meaning of research and carries on relevant document surveys. On this basis, it has confirmed the author' s thinking of research and research approach.Chapter one of the thesis analyzes several main theories problems of developing and promoting the higher education for foreign students of Shanghai. This chapter makes a study on the purpose, function which develops a student abroad education of Shanghai respectively. Combining to taking internationalizing metropolis Paris and Tokyo as an example, chapter one analyzes educational development condition of metropolis and carries on the necessity of developing the abroad education of Shanghai by this argument.Chapter two analyzes the survey on foreign students in five of university in Shanghai about their attitude and advice on external environment, curriculum, teaching and management of higher education of their universities.Chapter three analyzes the difficulties and reasons of developing abroad education of Shanghai and concludes the advantage of developing abroad education of Shanghai. And this chapter puts forward possibility of developing abroad education in Shanghai.Chapter four is about the countermeasures on improving the abroad higher education of Shanghai city. These countermeasures include the field of curriculum, teaching and management of foreign students.Chapter five is about the countermeasures on improving the external environment of Shanghai city.
