With the 2004 Olympics, the first time that China won the Women's Doubles Tennis championship ,it created the new era of the China win the championship in international competition. More and more people participate in the tennis games, college tennis particularly the most rapidly developing ,the number of tennis professional and tennis elective students increased dramatically. However, the current tennis teaching has lagged far behind the trend of tennis skill development. Tennis teaching methods and means of theoretical study and practical application are relatively stagnant, and relevant information about the tennis teaching is relatively few, and current tennis teaching methods and means can not meet the needs of teaching requirment, severely restricts improving the quality of tennis teaching.Through this reaesrch, it is clearly unrealistic to do a comprehensive research about stroke rythem in each tennis skill.Because the forehand in base line is the basic skill in each tennis skill,and the highest utilization rate is about 70% to 80%. Therefore, this reaesrch is base on stroke rythem of forehand in base line,and use the Literature Method, Questionnaire Surveys Method, Observation Method, Experiment Method and so on, and combine the Wuhan Insititute of Physical Education's tennis elected student's skill levels and special athletic qualities,focuse on the student who already has the tennis technical foundation, applied the stroke rythem to the teaching of forehand in base line , and make analysis,do a experiment and reaesrch for it. This study sought to explore and reveal the importance of the stroke rythem in the teaching of forehand in base line and provide some useful specific ideas, basis and methodology to improve the tennis teaching methods , means , quality and results of the teaching.This reaesrch firstly sums up the concept , the basic elements and skill characteristics of storke rythem, discuss classification and evaluation criteria of stroke rythem of forehand in base line. Secondly,detailedly discuss the importance of stroke rythem and influence factor of stroke rythem of forehand in base line. On this basis, through research,analyze the problem and reason for the teaching of forehand in base line. Then, do a experimental reaesrch to apply the stroke rythem to the teaching of forehand in base line. By contrast contradictions and specialized exercises for improve stroke rythem of forehand in base line, let students clearly know the regularity of the chances of stroke rythem, training the student's awareness of stroke rythem of forehand in base line,make the student strengthen the contorl of hitting point and hitting opportunity, hitting more coordinated, relax, and reasonable.Finally, through the teaching competition to test the experiment. The results showed that student's control ability of stroke rythem has improved, including hitting speed, rotation and changes of dropping point, the hitting stability and variability reflected in the competition , and the hitting effect and quality have obviously strengthened.
