Modern Esthetic Education And The Development Of Students' Sensibility

The sensibility is the essence of esthetic education. The art education is the main implementation of esthetic education. So, the essence of art education should be in accord with esthetic education. In the art education, developing students' sensibility have to achieve three aspects: Respect and raise individuality; Respect the students' perceptual need and perfect students' perceptual function; utilize the direct-viewing artistic works to affect students' idea, form the good esthetic interest and the esthetic idea. However, the present art education excessively pays great attention to the knowledge and skills, disregarding students' individuality, the interest and the esthetic need. Students' needs in sensibility can not obtain in the classroom, which not only cannot promote the perceptual ability, but also can urge the student to pay attention to the popular esthetic culture, and accept bad influence from it. Gradually the students will inevitably sink to the perceptual world, pursue the perceptual comfort constantly, even lose rational ponder about art and life. Therefore, changing the present situation, we must reform the art education of the school interior, changing the teaching in which we pay much more attention to knowledge and skills into the teaching in which art experience is regarded as importance. Because of promoting the perceptual ability needs many kinds of psychological factors' participation, students' body and mind should enter the teaching as the whole.The experience is the effective way in promoting students' sensibility, because it is the individual concept, during which follows the sensation, the imagination, the emotion, the understanding and the creation. So, students' sensibility will certainly obtain liberation and promotion in this process. Of course, emphasizing experience in art education will not negative knowledge and skills at all. It is essential to learn it for promoting students' sensibility. However, experience is more important. So, we should adjust the difficulty and flexibility in learning knowledge and skills. In the art education, experience main includes artistic appreciation and artistic creation.
