Based on some useful experience of the football development in some football powerhouses, it has been proved that a powerful football reserve forces is favorable to the selection and training of excellent competitive football players. Only by doing this can a country create the basic conditions for the sustainable development of its football development. The football powerhouses of the world have been always keeping a high competitive level. The reason for this, to a great extent, is that these countries have benefited from their scientific ideas as well as their systematic training models and selection institutions for the training of football reserve forces. Apart from this, other factors, such as excellent coaches, complete training and competitive systems, have also contributed to the probability of training excellent football players with greater, faster, better and more economical results and to the sustainable development of football. This thesis begins with the training of football reserve forces, aiming to do a research and make an analysis on football ideology, training models, selection systems, and the current conditions of coaches, trainings and competitions. Besides, learning from the successful experience of training football reserve forces in those football powerhouses, this thesis, according to China's national conditions, does a research in order to solve various kinds of problems that have come into being during the training of football reserve forces in China. Since its football professionalism twelve years ago, China has established new and diverse training models for football reserve forces, such as football schools, amateur football clubs and professional club echelons. Though these models play a certain positive role in the training of football reserve forces, it can be seen, after an in-depth analysis on some phenomena, that there still exist many problems and disadvantages in these models. The results also prove that China's football professionalism has been an unsuccessful reformation. It violates the principle of the sustainable development of training football reserve forces. Such violation is mainly manifested in the following aspects: The training models of football reserve forces are unstable. In this case, it cannot keep providing excellent football players to the country. And an unwholesome aristocratic tendency has arisen in the selection system. As a result, not every child who has talent in football can enjoy the equal opportunity to be trained and selected out, which violates the popular characteristic of football. Besides, there's no excellent corps of coaches to ensure the training quality of football reserve forces. What's more, some football administrators, in order to gain temporary excellent achievements, don't conform to the growing law of youngsters and thus develop the athletic potentials of youngsters excessively and inappropriately. As a matter of fact, they are too eager to be successful so that they can only see the immediate advantages, hindering the benign and wholesome development of football in China. The research shows that we can only improve the backward situation of training football reserve forces in China by changing ideas, deepening the football reformation, and orienting the training of football reserve forces to a track of wholesome development.
