Research On The Honesty And Trustworthiness Education Of Contemporary College Students

Citizen virtues education focuses on honesty and trustworthiness.Accordingly it is important to put emphasis on Honesty andTrustworthiness education for college students when ideological andpolitical education is reinforced. The research is of great theoreticaland practical significance in impelling them to adhering to the basiccode of ethics for citizens and becoming qualified as a Chinese citizen,a socialist builder and successor.With the purpose of illustrating, explaining and exploring thetheory, methods and ways of Honesty and Trustworthiness educationfor college students today, the author puts forward the problem oncampus, analyzes it and finds a solution at last, applying ethics theoryand methods. The thesis consists of three parts: introduction, the bodyand conclusion. The body includes four chapters as follows:Chapter 1 Based on the ethical connotation of honesty andtrustworthiness in the history, the author introduces its modernsignificance and theoretical characteristics, with its importance inpractice such as in building harmonious society, taking part in marketcompetition, realizing all-round development and carrying outcommunication.Chapter 2 Based on theoretical and example analysis of lossof honesty and trustworthiness on campus, the author finds out itsmain forms and causes. Insufficiency of honesty and trustworthinessin colleges, loss of it in society and alienated education at home aboutit are the main causes.Chapter 3 Combining general theory in moral education withthe characteristics of college students today, and the peculiarities ofmodern society they are in, the author discusses the educationcontents such as being honest and trustworthy in pursuing political belief and major study, in everyday life and in following what is in thecontract, with the education principles abstracted in the end.Chapter 4 The solution is introduced to get rid of thephenomenon: making honesty and trustworthiness popular on campus,expanding the education space and constructing the system ofevaluation and the system of awarding and punishment at the sametime.Society needs harmonious, college must popularize Honestyand Trustworthiness education. It is of very importance that universitystudent ought to regard honest and trustworthiness as their foundationof settling down and getting on with their work today.
