With the rapid development of multi-media and network technology,the society has developed in the direction of computerization,informationization and networking since 1990s. The teaching in middleschools is increasingly related with modem education informationtechnology. As a result, multi-medial is widely used in teaching.Multi-media teaching materials are an important part of course resources.Multi-medial teaching materials are also the foundation of making thefirst-class courseware.It is of great significance to collect and treat multi-media geographyteaching materials in middle schools. It is also the objective requirementof information age. It is helpful for the teachers to enhance the ability tocollect and treat information, which ensures the teaching quality,innovatives the teaching means and makes it easy for the teachers to sharethe teaching resources. As a result, teachers' teaching burden is reduced.Multi-media teaching materials in middle schools have the featuresof rich performance, open resources system, sound reorganization andcontinuum and strong participation. Multi-media materials are generallyclassified as text, sound, graphics, image, animation, video andprocedures. And it is necessary for the teachers to obtain and treat them.It is necessary for the teachers to follow the following principleswhen collecting teaching materials. The principles are good control ofteaching goals and materials, adaptability of learning objectives, propercontents, rich materials, scientific materials, artistic materials andeffective materials. We generally obtain the multi-media teachingmaterials through treatment of conventional medial digitals and theinteract.It is of great importance to arrange multi-media teaching materials inteaching practice. The preservation of multi-medial resources accordingto the types and their format change is a key link of orderly and effectiveteaching resources. Collecting and arranging multi-media geographyteaching materials have some constraints such as huge memory capacity,long-term and hard work and high requirement of software and hardware.
