Research In The Motivation Of Volleyball Rule Revision And The Impact Of Rule Revision In The Development Of World Women Volleyball

With the development of the society and volleyball, the volleyball' s rule reformed continuously. Since the volleyball appeared in more than 100 years, the degree of its rule change varied form time to time, however, the change was still in compliance with the nature of volleyball. That was the principle by which every change had to abide. During this period of rule change, the rule reform items after 1990, according to statistics, accounted for about 30% of the total revision items, by which we can conclude that it was the prime time in the development of volleyball. Therefore, Based on the reform' s characteristics of this period, combined the Analysis of the collected video of the same time, the paper explored the impacts of new rules in the volleyball development from technical and tactical aspect.Adopted the methods of documentary analysis, mathematical statistics and logic analysis, the author analyzed the documentary date and competition video and then make summary. Meantime, the author conducted the date analysis on the high-level of international women' s volleyball copetition. Finally, the result of the influences new rules exerted on volleyball, development were proposed as follows.1. The revision items of volleyball form 1990 to 2006 can be classified into there categories as technique rules, run-technique rules and competition according to its characteristic.2. Based on the comparative analysis. We can conclude that before 1990 the rule revision focused on further assurance of field implement continual change and amendment of block rule and reduction of non-competition time. While after 1990, the rule revision emphasized on continual enlargement of hitting ball dimensions, steadiness and reduction of such aspects as competition time, commercial and recreational rules.3. The rule revision was mainly motivated by the characteristic of volleyball itself, the need of technical and tactical development, the demand of entertainment and the requirement of referee execution, sport' s marketization and professionally.4. The rule revision after 1990 had influence on volleyball' s techniques and tactics with various degree. Technically, it mainly affected serving, spike and block. Tactically, the rule change of score system made the application of quick attack. Furthermore, the alteration if libro defensive player rules made the defensive tactics, formation and effect change dramatically.5. The influence of revision after 1990 also differed to European and American women team and Asian women team. As to Asian team, it mainly embodied in diversity of the serving technique, strengthening of the attack and also embodied in improving of tactical quality. To European-American team, it chiefly embodies in strengthening of defense and back three-dimensional attack.
