The theory of multiple intelligences (MI) has made great influence on theeducation of USA and many other countries in the world, and it has become theleading theory to guide the education reform in some countries. This paperintroduced the main idea of MI and analyzed the implications it offered to theteachers. In the teaching belief, teacher should take foreign language courses as anapproach to help students develop all around, not just for the target of mastering alanguage; in practical teaching, teachers should have the ability to find the students'advantageous and disadvantageous intelligences. And through organizing all kindsof activities with many intelligences, teachers are expected to search for new andeffective teaching mode to develop every students' potential intelligences. Using MIto assess students can make them be willing to be assessed and benefit from theassessment; meanwhile teachers should get hints from MI and improve themselvesbetter.
