As a way to communicate with each other, listening plays an important part in using language. Not only does it help to improve and strengthen the ability of speaking, reading and writing, but also it is a necessary way to take in language nutrition and a main aspect of communicating language. But senior students in the countryside are poor in listening, especially listening comprehension. At the same time, students are busy in preparing for the final entrance examination. So many students do not know how to learn and improve their listening ability, little by little , they lose interest in learning English. As is well-known to us , there are many influencing factors in listening and they are complex.This thesis endeavors to analyze the main factors of influencing students listening skills and make practical strategies to improve the listening level of senior students in the countryside Meanwhile, this thesis helps teachers get some theories on listening and make their listening lessons efficiently, which has not just instructing significance, but also has a certain practical value .Teachers in the future can gain the theory to instruct teaching and lead their students to practice listening efficiently. In that case , students will improve their listening ability and get high marks in the exam.
