The Present Situation And A Countermeasure Study Of The Rural Secondary Vocational Education In FuJian Province

This paper is based on the background that the starting implementation of strategies of Building the Taiwan Straits West Bank Economic Zone in Fujian Province and projects of Building the Socialism New Rural Areas with a Specifically Fujian Province Character. Through reviewing the course of developing secondary vocational education in Fujian Province over 10 years, selecting secondary vocational education in Xiapu County (in eastern Fujian Province) as a typical case and analyzing it comprehensively; it puts forward suggestion and countermeasures of developing secondary vocational education and secondary vocational education in rural areas via multi-angle comparison and verification; and tries to offer reference for building the Taiwan Straits West Bank economic zone in Fujian Province and the Socialism New Rural Areas with a Specifically Fujian Province Character.The first part gives brief introduction of the background, significance, adopted methods and technological line of this research.The second part shows and compares the modes of typical secondary vocational education home and abroad; and further investigates currently the chances and challenges confronting secondary vocational education in Chinese rural areas.The third part enunciates the development survey of secondary education in Fujian Province during 1994 and 2005; and shows the development status quo of secondary vocational education in Fujian Province. In addition, primarily analyses the problems exist in secondary education in Fujian Province. This chapter further analyses secondary vocational education in Xiapu County as a typical case; and as a point of penetration, has a restricted view on status quo and problems of secondary vocational education in rural area of Fujian Province.Based on enunciation and analysis of above-mentioned three parts, in the forth part, viewed in the perspective, this paper puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions of developing secondary vocational education and secondary vocational education in rural areas of Fujian Province.
