Nowadays, Negotiated Learning was very common both in foreign countries and China, and at the same time it had a deeply practical significance during the practical teaching process. Many teachers have gone into research and discussion on Negotiated Learning methods that can help their students learn more effectively and happily in groups and enhance comprehensive progress. It's very necessary to introduce this sort of new methodology when the new teaching method reform is on in China . The thesis makes an investigation and analysis at present English teaching situations and teaching background of senior high school state its necessity and significance of Negotiated Learning according to the observation and research for the advanced teaching ideas in western countries. In addition, it also include the cause of this method, theory bases the organization for it, the application to the practical teaching, the results of practice, problems happening in teaching and the ways of solving problems. Altogether there are 5 chapters in the thesis. Chapter One states the significance, necessity and some questions about Negotiation Learning; Chapter Two gives the detailed introduction; Chapter Three puts emphasis on the procedures of organization; Chapter Four gives the application to practical teaching; Chapter Five raises problems and discussions on how to solve them. Over recent years, Negotiated Learning is a most efficient,effective and democratic teaching theory and strategy,which has a great effect on improving the class atmosphere and enhance the students'interests in learning English. What's more, it also fosters the students'non—recognition quality greatly. Negotiated Learning is the inevitable result of teaching development. As an English teacher, we need to go on practicing and accumulating, making the students not only improve their English study skills but also strengthen the concept of Negotiated Learning with others and realizing the quality education that new teaching reform puts emphasis on .
