Questionnaires,BEI technology and testing factor analysis method are used to explore the competence of Kindergarten teacher empirically. The required competences of Kindergarten teacher in china are identified. Furthermore, the report evaluates the competence of kindergarten teacher in Nanchang.This research includes two parts. In the first research, some kindergarten teacher and kid's parents are asked to answer open ended question, Behavioral Event Interview is employed to some professional person and superior kindergarten teacher .From these work, and competences items are collected. Then, parts of kindergarten teacher are surveys using the inventories. By statistic method, the report finically decides the competence items that are 12 factors which combined into 4 categories. Education ability category include children concept, teaching ability, teaching strategy knowledge and class management skill; attitude category include self- potency, occupational ethics, self-reconsidering; psychological traits category include self-monitoring ability, interpersonal association and sense of responsibility. Motive categories include achievement motive and professional degree of satisfaction.. In the second research, the competences of some kindergarten teacher in Nanchang are assessed by the questionnaires. The research result is: the competences of the kindergarten teacher in Nanchang are good. Among the 12 competence, self- potency and professional degree of satisfaction are best, teaching strategy knowledge and self-monitoring ability are worst. It is found in the result of difference analysis that when selecting and training kindergartens teacher, we should notice some special field.The research explores the way to establish the professional assessment system on kindergarten teacher. The research result provides the more objective and overall standard for competence system. we can evaluate the effect of training by the kindergarten teacher. The result of the second research gave some advice in the Nanchang's kindergarten teachers'work.
