To foster student's scientific literacy is the one of scientific literacy curriculum important ideas, chemistry textbook is precisely transforms the scientific curriculum idea for chemistry curriculum practices importantly intermediary. Reforms along with the elementary education curriculum thoroughly carries on, the many kinds of editions chemistry textbook already put into the use, how should evaluate these textbooks? What angle should the evaluation from? What should evaluate? In the recent years, the people started gradually to pay attention to these questions, but the present majority evaluation researches carried on to the textbook also pause in the experience evaluation stage, take enhanced student's scientific literacy to carry on the analysis, the evaluation as the evaluation goal to the different edition textbook, but also very rare various reports. In view of this, we choose this topic based on the scientific literacy junior chemistry textbook evaluation in order to seek for the breakthrough in the textbook evaluation research area. The thesis consists of seven parts: The first part has expounded the background of this research that our country citizen scientific literacy present situation and the new times to the citizen scientific literacy request, as well as the domestic and foreign elementary education textbook research present situation, elaborated this research theory significance and the practical significance. The second part proposed this research goal, the duty try hard from the scientific literacy stratification plane to propose analysis and the evaluation textbook detailed step and the method, can provide the new mentality and the model take the time as the present stage junior middle school chemistry textbook compilation and the choice, in the promotion textbook thorough realization curriculum standard scientific literacy goal, and further enriches and the development about the textbook analysis and the evaluation researches .The third part elaborated this research rationale– scientific literacy correlation theory, the textbook establishment correlation theory, the textbook evaluation correlation theory, tries hard to seek these three theories the union spot, seeks the theory support for this research. We propose seven essential factors of the scientific literacy in this foundation: The scientific knowledge, the scientific method, the scientific ability, the scientific emotion, the scientific idea, the scientific spirit, the scientific behavior customs, and unified "Compulsory education Chemistry Curriculum Standard" to carry on the careful decomposition to the scientific literacy. The fourth part elaborated this research basic conception– involves the textbook analysis evaluation mentality and the textbook evaluation target system two aspects. This research embarks from the scientific literacy angle, to the textbook goal making, the content choice, the content organization and the content presents four aspects, has drawn up the textbook evaluation target system. The fifth part is the demonstration of this research , proposing the evaluation guideline system. In this thesis, the popular two sets of junior chemistry experiment textbooks(separately to educate publishing house and Shandong education publishing house being published to the present market condition in by people) are made the analysis and the evaluation. The evaluation adopts the rank (superior, good, moderate, bad) and corresponding marks (3, 2, 1, 0).The sixth part concentrates on the evaluation result and carries on the analysis and the discussion to the existence question , pointing out the problems and reasons of our junior chemistry textbooks in fostering the student's scientific literacy aspect at present. The seventh part points out the problems of this research as well as the future of this research.
