Recentlly, the achievement goal theories have been the focus. It played an important role on improving performance of students or workers . So this research investigated the relationship of achievement goal orientation and view of ability in success condition or failure condition and priming mastery goal or performance goal, to find out the most suitable system, to achieve the best performance. This research adopted 2×2×2 experiment design, in priming the different goals condition, to investigate the difference of goal orientation and achievement level of the students who had the different ability views in success and failure, selecting 98 senior middle school students in Grade one, This research contained three factors:2(views of ability: entity, incremental)*2(performance condition:success, failure)*2(goal priming: mastery, performance),in order to investigate the difference in achievement level of Unicursal tasks of entity view of ability and incremental view of ability in success or failure condition and priming different goals.Research conclusions as follows:1.The students of entity view of ability reported higher endorsement of performance goal than that of incremental view of ability.2. In the condition of priming mastery goal, it was no significant difference that the students of entity view of ability and incremental view of ability endorsed performance goal, in the condition of failure condition and success.3. In the condition of priming mastery goal , it was no significant difference that the students of entity view of ability reported achievement level of Unicursal tasks in the condition of failure and success;but in the condition of priming performance goal, the students of entity view of ability reported higher achievement level of Unicursal tasks in the condition of success than failure.4.For incremental view of ability, there was no significant difference in achievement level between priming mastery goal and priming performance goal when they finished Unicursal tasks in the condition of failure and success.5. In the condition of priming mastery goal, there was no significant difference in achievement level between the students of entity view of ability and incremental view of ability when they finished Unicursal tasks in the condition of failure condition and success.6. In the condition of priming mastery goal, the students of entity view of ability reported higher achievement level of Unicursal tasks when they were primed mastery goal than were primed performance goal in the condition of failure condition and success.
