In terms of a course, its destination must be determined firstly. Moreover, so does a scientific course. That is because making sure the aims of the courses is not only helpful for linking the courses and the educational purpose, so that we can make sure the general destination of courses compiling, but also helpful for selecting and organizing the content of the courses. Selecting and organizing the content of the course is basic work in the process of compiling courses. It is the approach of achieving aims. In addition, it is the base and premise of implementing and appraising. The content of scientific courses is a component of its structure. It is the crucial material of educating the students effectively. Its content and organizing are the linkage between wide complicated knowledge and college education. This research aims several typical countries. Such as US , UK and Canada. Their science education is representative in the recent western countries. Their education theories are international and advanced. Japanese comprehensive science is representative in Asia.Moreover, scientific education in Chinese Hong Kong and Tai wan develop faster than Chinese continent. Their culture is similar to that in Chinese continent. Therefore, they can be understood and referred more easily. Based on the selection and organizing of aims and content of scientific courses at middle schools in those countries, I analyze both the selection and organizing concretely. Then their features will be indicated. I hope there are some references and enlightenment can be found from that. I also hope I can provide a international field for middle schools in China so that to improve a further development in comprehensive science.There are four chapters in this assignment:In the first chapter, the basic concepts which concern this assignment will be mainly introduced, and then they will be defined.In the second chapter, the background and the situation of scientific courses in the world will be described. After that, the development of scientific courses in China will be introduced.The third chapter is the main body. It will indicate the typical counties and features of selection and organizing in the aims and content of scientific courses in Chinese Hong Kong and Tai Wan.Finally, it will conclude references and enlightenments of current scientific courses in China which are outlined below:1. Improving the consistency and keeping complete in education.2. Improving the education in students' gathering information 3. Requests in scientific spirit and scientific attitude are low4. Developing the education in students' physical and psychic health and security.5. Integrated level of scientific course needs to be further strengthened.6. Compiling the content of courses according to students'psychological features, cognition and educational aims.The fourth chapter is after systematic analysis of integrated science curriculum standards and content, we make a summery of inspiration.
