The Study On The Necessity And Feasibility Of Setting The Outdoor Exercise Teaching For Urban Middle Schools

Nowadays students in urban middle schools are considered as a generation with good physique but bad physical strength. According to the physique evaluation in recent years, their physique and athletic ability fall into a continuous decline, while the proportion of obese tendency and the morbidity of'habits and customs sickness'increase, which is the problem not only for students themselves, but also for the whole society if taking account of the development in future.Being healthy is required both spiritually and physically. Those who can challenge and accomplish difficult tasks with positive spirit are considered healthy ones. As harsh weather is frequently seen during outdoor exercises, students in urban middle schools can take this as an opportunity of challenging difficulties. Such challenges are definitely not blind ones. Great dangers will be avoided in that safety measures are taken based on the knowledge of natural rules, so students can get trained and become stronger and healthier.The difficulties which are to be overcome are not set by human, but due to natural phenomena. In this circumstance, everyone is equal in facing the tough situation. When difficulties are resolved safely through students'own efforts and their cooperation, the delight and satisfaction is naturally out of expression.In this paper, previous studies are reviewed, and the analysis is based on the statistic results of the data collected through interviews and questionnaires. The author, taking the idea of new curriculum reform as the basis, discusses the necessity and feasibility of setting outdoor exercise teaching in urban middle schools, which may provide a reference for the set of PE. curriculum in urban middle schools.
