Nowadays is the greatly developmental era of high school education. The key high schools are continuing enlarged and the vocational high schools are greatly developed. However, the ordinary high schools are facing the stern challenge of survival while existing between the slots. Thus, the burden on my shoulder has always been leading me into the consideration of the solution to the survival of ordinary high school. But my school's success offers me a powerful answer and great enlightenment, which are to follow the path of characterized development. Characteristics are fascia, vigor, and the ability of competition. What kind of the road of characterized development we take should? The answer to this question is to take the road of artistic education. The artistic education is accordance with the source of students, is the shortcut for college entrance examination, and is the trump of employment. How should we do to take the characterized developmental road of artistic education? Turn to the mode which is also regarded as the bridge. The teaching mode is the operating strategy and action demonstration which applied the teaching theory to educational practice, meanwhile, it is a whole set of operating procedures, principles and the systems of methods of education practice. The establishment of the mode is the key step on the feature productivity. And how should we construct the artistic education mode? This is derived from the reflection of human survival. After entering the 21st century, human beings have suffered from the attack of the unprecedented SARS, tsunami, hurricane, earthquake and the continuous typhoon. Why? The reasons come from many areas. But the most leading one is the destruction of zoology on the earth. Some of the features of zoology, such as integral and merging, developmental and continuous, open-up and productive, and original and harmonious, have an amazing similar feature to artistic education, which makes a large sense taking it as a reference.This research is the exploration of ordinary high school's artistic education mode. The research, which is under the instruction of ecological-mode educational theory and is under the assistance of mode-research method, combines the spirit of new curriculum innovation to find out and refine the school features and rules of the ordinary high school artistic education. To form a set of simplified and manipulative mode and to offer a consultable fundamental structure for the activities of education and management, the construction of mode asks for adjusting every elements of artistic education, keeping all the authorities in line, perfecting the structure, highlighting the function. Also, the construction of mode is a systematic project. During the exploration, we start from the teaching mode, and then we find that we need to do more. The curriculum set up needs to be adjusted, the educational management needs to be completed and the teaching environment needs to be perfected. Therefore, we form the comprehensive penetration-course mode, the principal part's development-education mode, the open and dynamic-management mode and the moral character-environment mode. These four subsidiary modes altogether support and form the operating system of artistic education.But artistic education is still a fragile step of the current school education. This is unbalanced with the great effect that has been made by the artistic education to the society and the man. The fact asks for an urgent change. The achievement of the research plays a definite instructive role for the ordinary high school in solving the problems of how to develop the artistic education, how to implementing the quality education and how to improving the teaching quality.
