Teachers' salary management is becoming more and moreimportant along with the rapid development of non-governmentfunded higher education (NGFHD) in China. Teachers' salaryrepresents that the university has recognized teachers' work,and it will guarantee their teaching profession. What' s more,it also help universities to obtain teachers' understanding,admitting and promises. Through the salary-medium, a both-winrelationship will establish between universities and teachers.The status quo of NGFHD in China is not so optimism, forit fit with neither the tendency of high education of the world,nor the requirements of high education' s popularization inChina. We must management the faculty in order to develop NGFHD.The key issue is how to consummate the teachers' salary system.Because a scientific salary system can allure people withabilities, and retain and inspire them. At the same time, ascientific salary system can be used as a method to achieve thegoals of universities. Compared with government funded highereducation, the operating mechanism and management mechanism ofNGFHD have more flexibility. There is much to be done in orderto make a better salary system. This thesis focuses onestablishing and improvement of the teachers' salary systemof NGFHD, its inner-connection with the target of the NGFHD andits teachers, to keep a value-balance between them and getpersistent-developing of NGFHD.Firstly, the thesis uses some typical salary theories toanalyze and give suggestions to teachers' salary policies inNGFHD. It also generalizes five basic principles, which shouldbe followed by teachers' salary management in NGFHD. Then, thethesis looks into the history of teachers' salary managementin NGFHD (private university) and elicits some usefulconclusions. And then, the thesis finds three difficultproblems by analyzing the salary management conditionsnowadays in NGFHD, which caused the poor quality of teachersand the job-hopping of them.In order to settle the problems of teachers' salarymanagement, the thesis constructs teachers' salary system in NGFHD from macroscopically angle of view and microscopicallyangle of view. From the macroscopically angle of view, thethesis introduces strategic salary management and designs atheoretical teachers' strategic salary model. From themacroscopically angle of view, the thesis discusses the basicconfiguration of teachers' salary system and designs coreteachers salary plan and well-known teachers salary plan. Thesalary plans can be used to allure and spirit up the excellentteachers in NGFHD, and meet the need of strategic developmentof NGFHD. At the end of the thesis, there are some suggestionsand methods on how to manage and control the salary system.
