On Comprehensive Development Of Human Being In Socialist Market Economy

It is the lofty mission of Marxism to deeply concern for the liberation cause ofmankind; the value of scientific socialism is the full and free development of humanbeing. Contemporarily, to concern the fate of mankind and to make endeavors to promotethe comprehensive development of human being is not only the most vigorous growthpoints of Marxism, but also the great mission for Marxist ruling party's full flavor of thetime's and humanistic care and to maintain the vitality of the party. Therefore, thecomprehensive development of human beinghas become the most prominent and realisticissue.Today, along with the constant development of the socialist market economy and thegrand goals of building a socialist harmonious society, to study the comprehensivedevelopment of human being under the socialist market economy and its realizing wayscan provide a theoretical basis for our ongoing in-depth development of the socialistmarket economy. It can also promote the reform and innovation of the socialist system,political civilization, spiritual civilization and social development, which will graduallycreate favorable conditions for the achievement of comprehensive human development.On the third Plenary Session of the 16th CPC Central Committee, our party proposed"adhere to the people-oriented, establishing a Comprehensive, coordinated and sustainabledevelopment", which is aimed to boost the comprehensive development of economy,society and mankind. The proposed scientific concept of development has provided theguiding ideology and a new perspective to study the comprehensive development ofhuman being. Adhering to the Marxist scientific research methods; based on the reality ofChina's initial stage of socialism and the socialist market economy; using philosophy,economics, and the cross-disciplinary knowledge and the methods of comparativeanalysis; and under the guidance of Deng Xiaoping Theory, Jiang Zemin's "ThreeRepresents" and the scientific concept of development, the paper probes into the majortheoretical and practical issues we face under the comprehensive development of thecontemporary socialist market economy from many different perspectives and multi-leveldepths such as the history and reality views, theory and practice aspects. Focused on the modernization of China's socialist market economic reform and the new practice, thestudy of the comprehensive development explores the ways to realize it under the socialistmarket economy.
