NMCT is significant to evaluate and select students who are suitable for tertiary education. The content of NMCT has great effect on basic education, especially, on the learning materials, teaching strategies, and teaching goals.Based on the idea of"students'development-based"and"Innovation - oriented country", this thesis analyzes the direction of NMCT. As the important evaluating instrument, NMCT should guide the basic education not only to knowledge and skills, but also to the emotion and behavioural habit of doing science.This thesis tries to establish an index system in a creative way, and analyzes some of the test items with this index system. Simultaneous, count the key words which can cultivate scientific ability and sensibility, such as science, inquire, evaluate, design. Obtain some of the cognitions of the guide of NMCT, including its status quo and trend. The result with these two studies is the same.The result is that the guide of NMCT is low, and the rigidity of test items is feeblish. In order to solve these problems, we must pay attention to the latent elements of the test materials, and increase the experiment test in NMCT.This thesis established some concepts, such as rigidity of NMCT, intention of test items, effect of test items. These concepts are propitious to both strengthen the guide of NMCT, and compile appropriate test items.
