The result indicated that exists some questions in the curriculum goal, the teaching goal, the curriculum content, the teaching method, the teaching appraisal, the teaching conditions and the teachers situation of volleyball teaching. The curriculum goal gradually changes from pursuing movement athletic ability to improving the students'comprehensive quality; The teaching goal changes from teaching the specialized theory and the movement technology to teaching the knowledge, the skill and developping the ability; The content focus is prominent and relatively centralized. The technical teaching ensures the basic technique and tactical content, the tendency of dispersibility to the technique and the tactic's grasps in the precision and the width; The modernized method application is few in the teaching method; The teaching environment disparity is relatively big; The teaching appraisal only tests the theory and the technical in the majority of institute, the method is also unitary; The teachers team's scale and the teaching level have the varying degree influence to the volleyball classes'teaching effect. In view of these questions proposes the reasonable suggestion and the countermeasure, improving the volleyball teaching, and simultaneously providing the reform suggestion for the physical institute of Shanxi Province.
