21st century is a time with knowledge economy as the principal part of economy, innovation as the soul of all walks of life and informationalization as the social feature. In the 21st century, the social demands for the quality of talents are even higher. With the deepening of reform of school physical education, social development urgently call for sports talents of solid foundation, versatility, good quality, strong ability, wide adaptability and innovativeness. It is an important task for reform of sports colleges and universities to train constructors and successors for the cause of Socialism who can meet the demands of 21st century. Aerobics is a rising sport event in China. Aerobics specialism is a new course and has been developing rapidly in recent years. However, the society is advancing unceasingly, people's life standard has been improved continuously and their desire for body-building is becoming stronger and stronger. The requirements of aerobics professional personnel are becoming higher. Sports colleges and universities are the cultivation bases of aerobics professional personnel and directly influence the sustainable development of aerobics. Therefore, it is one of the important and difficult points in reform of colleges and universities as to how to optimize aerobics specialism curriculum contents to adapt it to social demands. Arrangement and implementation of aerobics specialism curriculum, the research on which has not been found yet in China, are the key points of the reform of aerobics course and teaching.Based on contemporary and past researches done both in China and abroad, guided by curriculum and teaching theories and taking the characteristics of aerobics into consideration, this paper discusses in detail the bases and principles of goal setting of aerobics specialism curriculum. The research methods adopted include documents and materials research, questionnaire, experts'interview, and mathematical statistics. This paper also optimizes and recombines the aerobics specialism curriculum contents according to current conditions of the arrangement of aerobics specialism curriculum, suggestions of experts, the characteristics of aerobics and students'interest and social demands. Based on the optimized and recombined curriculum contents, this paper proposes to comprehensively consider the interrelationship of students, curriculum contents and social demands in the organization and implementation of aerobics specialism curriculum contents to achieve the optimized effect; center on practice and stress the cultivation of students'ability of innovation, teaching, organizing and managing and social practice so as to lay the solid foundation for the training of advanced aerobics professional talents who are proficient in a particular field and good at many and adapted to social development.
