Work-family conflict has been a popular research topic in human resource management filed recently. Many investigations had proved that work-family conflict can negatively influence personal working conditions, organizational performance, employees'job satisfaction and human capital retention. Meanwhile it might influence employees'health conditions and cause social problems. Compared with foreign countries, domestic research on work-family conflict is still in the very beginning, mainly review of the definition, causes and outcomes of work-family conflict. This article discusses the difference of work-family conflict between New Zealand and China, based on the data analysis from the two countries.Many ways can be used to solve work-family conflict prolems, and organizational supportive policies have been discussed quite a lot by researchers in the past few years. This article reviews current organizational supportive policies, analyzes data from New Zealand and China and tries to find out the defects in these policies based on employees'satisfaction of these policies and their reasons for dissatisfaction.Research indicates that employee statistic variable, family structural variable, job characteristics variable, organizational characteristics variable are significantly correlated with work-family conflict. People with different age stage, different educational background, different years of service, employment condition and marriage status suffer from different work-family conflict. Children's age, their economic contributions to family and the numbers of their dependents will also influence the severity of work-family conflict. This article proves some conclusions from former researchers. This article also tries to find out the implementation of current organizational supportive policies, relationship between some policies and work-family conflict as well as some organizational characteristics variables.It is important to pay attention to work-family conflicts in organizational culture. Organizations should provide policies and programmes based on employees'needs and organizational current resources. It is also necessary for China to learn from western countries to help employees'work-family balance.
